The Buster CYL is a personal mod made by Spinnerpeem in 2008. It is famous for its ubiquitous usage by Power spinners in the late 2000s and early 2010s, and its use by Spinnerpeem in winning the Pen Spinning World Tournament 2009. It was first released to the international community in a thread by TEK on the 11th of November, 2008[1].
Construction
Parts needed
- 1x SuperTips (barrel)
- 2x Zebra Airfit BA-9 (grip and 2 tips)
- Gel Airfit can be used as well, for a lighter mod called 'Gel Buster'
- 2x Comssa (backplug and 2 caps)
Text tutorial
- Empty the SuperTips barrel by removing the marker tip and backplug.
- Connect the Comssa backplug to the back of the SuperTips barrel.
- Wrap tape around the backplug area to increase its width.
- Attach both Comssa caps to the SuperTips barrel.
- Cut the Airfit grip in half.
- NOTE: Peem's original buster used closer to 1/3 rather than 1/2 grip.
- Place the Airfit grips on both sides of the barrel.
- Place an Airfit tip on both sides of the grips; the mod is complete.
