Apogeum M8 (also known as The Lego Mod) is an bolt tipped mod made by Polish PPP based spinner Mervo in 2024. The mod is the 6th iteration since the original in 2019. The mod is extremely cheap to make since it uses parts sourced from Temu excluding the Giotto Turbo Maxi , it also uses bolts as tips. The cost of the mod is ~4€ price could vary depending on the price of the Giotto Turbo Maxi.

The mod construction is very simple but it requires a circular file in order to make the parts fit eachother easier. Also using boiling water to stretch out the grips so they can fit the "cap" is recommended. And it is also strongly advised to use a pipe cutter for proper cuts or the body.

Construction

Parts needed

  • 3x Giotto Turbo Maxi (Barrel, Backplug)
  • 1x Temu mod (grips)(can be subbed with DGG but has a noticable diffrence of 3 grams and overall feel)
  • 1x Crayola Supertip (barrel) or alternative with same width
  • 2x M8 30mm Bolts
The temu mod used (also comes in black)

Additional tools

  • Pipe cutter
  • Paper tape
  • Circular file

Additional inofmation

  • You can use the silicone bits that stick out on the temu mod and use it as decorative grips
  • The weight can be adjused. For lighter mod use shorter M8s.
  • The lenght can also be adjusted, if you want a longer mod elongate glitto section that goes on giotto backplug, or take a shorter M8 eg 20mm M8 with 1 M8 nut.
