F.G.S

The F.G.S is a single sided mod made by Joey. Its name stands for "Frixion. G2. Signo". This mod was created to optimize the most out of every part used.

Construction

Parts needed

List from the Taco's post :

• x1 Pilot G2 (Everything)
• x1 Pilot Frixion Colors (Everything except white barrel)
• x1 Signo DX (Everything except cap)

Additional Items

• 2 inserts (9.6cm x 2.5cm and 3cm x 2.7cm)
• Tape

Text tutorial

Preparation

1. Cut the "dome" part of the Uni-Ball Signo DX backplug.
2. Cut the "Screw thread" section from the front of the Uni-Ball Signo DX body.
3. Sand the front of the Uni-Ball Signo DX barrel (until Pilot G2 barrel is able to fit snugly onto it)
4. Clear/remove the ink of both Pilot G2 and Uni-Ball Signo DX, then disassemble the inktubes
5. Cut the Uni-Ball Signo DX inktube to ~1.7/1.75cm from the back
6. Cut the Pilot G2 inktube to 2.4cm from the back (plug the plastic stopper back in)
7. Cut the Pilot G2 clicker to 1cm.
8. Cut the Pilot G2 grip to separate the flat section.
9. Cut the Pilot G2 barrel to 3cm (from the screw thread part)
10. Cut the front barrel of the Pilot G2 to 2.5cm (from the thread)
11. Sand the bump/raised part of the Pilot G2 cut front. And sand the flat part.
12. Sand the bump on the front part of Pilot Frixion Colors.
13. Attach the plastic piece from the cap on the front part of Pilot Frixion Colors, then cut it (with the tip of the front still in the plastic piece)
14. Cut the front plug of Pilot Frixion Colors to 2.5cm (from the "interior side")
15. Cut the G2 spring in half
16. Drill a small hole into the Pilot Frixion Colors plastic piece
17. Plug the leftover Pilot G2 inktube in the Pilot Frixion Colors cap then cut it.

Assembly

Front side

1. Put the cut Pilot G2 over the front of the Uni-Ball Signo DX barrel
2. Add both insert (First one in the body, second one on the front part)
3. Put the Uni-Ball Signo DX tip on the sanded part of Pilot G2 body.
4. Wrap some tape around the Uni-Ball Signo DX inktube (until the Pilot G2 inktube fits on it) then assemble
5. Remove the Uni-Ball Signo DX tip, then wrap some tape around the Pilot G2 inktube. Put the tip back in.
6. On the opposite side of the tip, put the cut Uni-Ball Signo DX backplug on the visible Pilot G2 nib.
7. Put the Uni-Ball Signo DX backplug into the back of the Uni-Ball Signo DX body.
8. Cover with the Pilot G2 non-flat part then the whole Uni-Ball Signo DX grip.

Cap side

1. Put the Pilot G2 inktube cover in the back of the Pilot Frixion Colors cap.
2. Put the Pilot G2 clicker inside the Pilot Frixion Colors cap. It should be assembled snugly.
3. Put the Pilot G2 metal nib in the Pilot Frixion Colors plastic piece.
4. Into the hold of the Pilot Frixion Colors plastic piece put the Pilot Frixion Colors plastic nib. Then put the Uni-Ball Signo DX into it.
5. Place one half of the Pilot Frixion Colors spring on the rubber piece from the cap, then twist the other half in the first half
6. Assemble like such: Cut front plug of Pilot Frixion Colors < Rubber piece with spring < Metal nib package. Put all of it into the Pilot Frixion Colors cap.
7. Add the flat part of Pilot G2 grip on the cap
8. Put the cap on the body.
