Watto G3

The Watto G3 is a personal mod made by JEB spinner Watto. It is known for its distinct appearance and difficult modding process.

Construction

Parts needed

• 2x G3 (barrel, cap, grip, cap rubbers)
• 1x Playcolor (barrel)
• 1x G2 (grip)
• 1x Hyperjell (cap, grip)
• 1x Anyball (grip)
• 1x Airblanc (grip)
• 1x Sailor (grip)
• 1x Gel Roller (tip, cap rubber)
• 1x Round Stic (backplug)
• 1x Airfit (ring)
• 1x Fit Curve (ring)
• 1x HGG (tip)

Text tutorial

1. Remove G3 grip, inktube, tip and backplug, then sand down the nubs on the front to prepare the barrel.
2. Cut 5mm Hyperjell segment.
   

   

   
   
3. Place gel roller tip onto round stic backplug as shown.
   

   

   
   
4. Put the tip-backplug stack into the larger hyperjell segment.
   

   

   
   
5. Cut a 1.4cm segment of Playcolor barrel from the back.
   

   

   
   
6. Cut a 2.7cm segment of Playcolor barrel from the front.
   

   

   
   
7. Cut a 1.2cm segment of G3 cap from the opening.
   

   

   
   
8. Remove both G3 cap rubbers from the cap and cut holes in them.
   

   

   
   
9. Place one modified G3 cap rubber into the HGG tip.
   

   

   
   
10. Put the HGG tip with cap rubber inside onto the front Playcolor segment.
    

    

    
    
11. Place airfit ring over sailor segment (two rings)
    

    

    
    
12. Place ring and sailor onto front playcolor segment, then place single front stripe cut from anyball behind the ring, then place g3 cap segment on top as shown.
    

    

    
    
13. Place 4 stripes of cut G3 grip into the back Playcolor segment. Then wedge the back PC2 assembly onto the front assembly.
14. Place second G3 cap rubber between the HGG tip and G3 grip inside the PC2 barrel.
    

    

    
    
15. Cut a 1.6cm segment of Airblanc grip and place it over the 1.4cm Playcolor barrel segment.
    

    

    
    
16. Place the Fit Curve metal ring on the front.
    

    

    
    
17. Add Gel Roller cap rubber into the larger PC2 segment
    

    

    
    
18. Place an insert under the G3 cap segment and place a strip of G3 behind it.
19. Place a 2 stripe segment of G2 grip at the front.
20. Place remaining 5mm hyperjell segment on the G3 barrel.
    

    

    
    
21. Add insert, tape the back of the barrel, assemble cap with hyperjell and Gel Roller tip, then place cap on taped section of G3 barrel. Complete.
