Vôre-Tèx G3 mod

Vôre-Tèx G3 mod is a single-sided G3 mod by Vôre-Tèx. It measures 20 cm, weighs 15.5 g, and combines a layered front-tip stack with a Frixion Colors cap assembly.

Parts needed

• 1 Uni Lakubo grip
• 1 Pilot Frixion Colors cap
• 1 Pentel RSVP grip
• 1 Pentel ColorTwin barrel
• 1 Zebra Tect 2Way backplug
• 1 Pilot G3 barrel
• 2 Uni-ball Signo pens (two tips and one backcap)
• 1 Pentel Hybrid Gel Grip tip
• 1 Pilot SuperGrip mechanical-pencil tip
• 3 Dong-A Anyball grip stripes
• Optional spare grip for balance

Construction

Text tutorial

1. Cut the RSVP grip as shown below. Disassemble the Tect backplug.

   

   

2. Remove the rubber and plastic pieces inside the Frixion Colors cap and cut off its small clip.

   

3. Cut the Signo backplug as shown, keeping 4 mm from its base.

   

4. Cut off the ColorTwin barrel tip and cut the remaining section to 2.6 cm. File its inside.

   

5. Prepare the Tect backplug, the rear Anyball grip ring and the ColorTwin section. Put the Anyball ring into the Tect backplug, then fit the backplug into the ColorTwin section.

   

   

   

6. Add the longer cut piece of RSVP grip inside this assembly.

   

7. Cut the other Anyball ring as shown and place half of it inside a Signo tip.

   

   

8. Assemble the cap package in this order: uncut Signo backplug, Signo tip, then the ColorTwin assembly.

   

   

9. Prepare the G3 barrel and place the RSVP grip section with the ring on it. Add an Anyball ring inside the front of the G3 barrel.

   

10. Stack the front tips in this order: Signo tip, HGG tip, then SuperGrip mechanical-pencil tip. Secure them with clear tape.

    

11. Put another Anyball ring inside the SuperGrip tip. Fit the tip stack into the Lakubo grip and place the grip on the G3 front.

    

12. Attach the Frixion cap to the back of the G3.
