THPSC

From Fen Spinner Wiki

The Thailand Pen Spinner Community (THPSC), commonly known as ThaiSpinner, is the Thai pen spinning community. Founded by Mr. CsPSer in 2005, it became one of the most influential national communities in early competitive pen spinning.

History

Mr. CsPSer began ThaiSpinner after sharing pen spinning videos on Thai forums and receiving interest from other Thai spinners. The early community used free hosting before moving to the thaispinner.com domain on 19 May 2006.[5] The forum provided Thai-language tutorials, pen-modification guides, member videos, and a place for arranging meetings and competitions.

ThaiSpinner opened an online shop in 2007 and a physical shop at Union Mall in Bangkok in June 2008. The community also received substantial media attention through television appearances and public events.

Competitive Spinning

ThaiSpinner became a major force in international competition during the late 2000s. A Thai team entered the Pen Spinning World Cup 2008, while Spinnerpeem won the Pen Spinning World Tournament 2009. Supawit127 reached the top four and Dongza the top eight in the same tournament.

THPSC won the Pen Spinning World Cup 2010 with Spinnerpeem, Supawit127, Dongza, BaiMai, The Legend and 8. The community also fielded teams and individual representatives in later international events, including World Tournaments and World Cups.

Events and tournaments

ThaiSpinner hosted online and offline events for its members. The **WE PCT–True Visions Thailand Spinner Championship 2008** at Fortune Town was presented as Thailand’s first official national pen spinning championship; it included auditions and a final stage of 64 spinners.[6]

Other local events included the ThaiSpinner Random Mini-Team Tournament 1st in 2010, in which members were assigned to teams at random;[7] the ThaiSpinner Solo Tournament 2011, won by Metal; and the ThaiSpinner Tournament 2012.

Collaboration Videos

ThaiSpinner produced both official and casual collaboration videos (CVs). Early THPSC-labelled releases included THPSC Stars and THPSC – TTS 1st.[8]

The first official board collaboration was [THPSC] ThaiSpinner 1st, released on 14 October 2010. Its intro and borders were made by BaiMai, while Supawit127 handled video filtering and the main composition. Later projects included ThaiSpinner 2nd, submitted to SpinFest 2016, and ThaiSpinner 3rd.

Later history

Activity declined during 2011–2012 as the physical shop closed and many members moved from the forum to Facebook. A revival began in 2015 through new content, gatherings, and the later ThaiSpinner forum. In 2017, the THPSC Discord server became the community’s main hub.
