Pilot G3M

The Pilot G3M is a single-sided mod by MBM. Its length can be adjusted from 18 to 24 cm, and its weight varies with the build.

Construction

Parts needed

• 1 Pilot G3 (body, tip, and cap)
• 1 Pilot G2 (rear section and grip)
• 1 empty ink cartridge
• Adhesive tape and glue

Text tutorial

1. Remove the G2 grip. Remove the clip and clicker from the G2 rear section.
2. Cut the G2 rear section to the desired length, retaining its thin end. Test-fit it between the G3 front tip and rear cap before cutting.
3. Remove and file the clip from the G3 cap. Remove the G3 tip.
4. Fit an empty ink cartridge into the opening where the G3 ink tube sat; do not push it too far in.
5. Apply glue above the cartridge and fit the G2 rear section over it, leaving the thin end exposed.
6. Tape the G3 tip to the exposed thin end of the G2 section.
7. Trim the G2 grip so it covers the thin section and part of the tip, as shown in the illustrated tutorial. Check the balance.
