Mx³

The Mx³ is a mod by Twim with V1 and V2 versions. The construction instructions below do not distinguish between them.

Construction

Parts needed

• 1 Pentel RSVP (cap and grip)
• 2 Pentel HGG (two tips, two grips, one cap, and one barrel)
• 1 Pilot G3 or Uni-ball Signo tip
• Grip sections with approximately the RSVP grip diameter
• Larger grip sections

Text tutorial

1. Trim the clip from the RSVP cap. Empty the HGG cap and remove its clip.
2. Place an HGG tip in the bottom of the RSVP cap. Use an RSVP ink tube to push it into place.
3. Wrap paper around the HGG cap and fit it inside the RSVP cap, leaving about 1 cm of the HGG cap exposed. Cover the exposed portion with larger grip sections.
4. Prepare the HGG barrel by removing its ink tube and backcap; add an insert if desired.
5. Fit an HGG tip to the front of the HGG barrel and add about 2 cm of grip. Place a G3 or Signo tip over the HGG tip using Teflon tape, then cover the joint with an HGG grip.
6. Attach the completed RSVP/HGG cap assembly to the rear of the HGG barrel.
