Mesi G3 v1/4 Hybrid

The Mesi G3 v1/4 Hybrid is a variation of Mesi G3 that combines the V1-style front grip with the construction of the V4.

Construction

Parts needed

• 1 plastic-version Pilot G3 (barrel and tip)
• 1 Ohto Metallic Gel tip
• 2 Uni-ball Signo DX (tips and grip)
• 1 Pentel HGG grip
• 2 Zebra Hyper Jell/Jimknock grips
• 1 Pilot Frixion Colors cap
• 1 Dong-a Anyball grip
• 1 Pilot Supergrip grip

Text tutorial

1. Disassemble the G3 and clear its front. Stack the plastic G3 tip, Metallic Gel tip, and Signo tip.
2. Cut a 0.6 cm Hyper Jell section, a three-block Anyball section, and a 1.5 cm HGG section. Put the Hyper Jell section on the G3 front, then fit the Signo grip over it. Insert the HGG section under the Signo grip, leaving room for three Anyball blocks, and cover the exposed HGG with Anyball.
3. Clear the Frixion cap by removing its rubber nub and inner plastic piece, then trim its small fin.
4. Place the second Signo tip in the cap, followed by a full Hyper Jell grip and a two-block Supergrip section. Add five blocks of Anyball grip over the cap.
5. Add an insert to the G3 barrel and attach the prepared cap.
