Mesi G3 V3

The Mesi G3 V3 is a G3 mod commonly grouped with Mesi G3 variants. Its original designer is unknown. Mesi did not design it and uses the V3 name for convenience.

Construction

Parts needed

• 1 Pilot G3 (barrel and plastic tip)
• 1 Pilot Frixion Colors cap
• 1 Zebra Hyper Jell grip
• 2 Uni-ball Signo DX (tip and grips)
• 1 old-version Pilot G1 (tip and backplug)
• 1 Pentel RSVP grip
• 2 Anyball grips
• 1 Pilot Supergrip grip
• 1 Metallic Gel tip
• 1 Dr. Grip HDG-50R metal ring

Text tutorial

1. Clear the G3 front, sand down its bumps, and remove the backplug.
2. Cut Hyper Jell grip sections to 5 mm and 3 mm, and cut two blocks from a Signo grip. Stack the plastic G3 tip, Metallic Gel tip, and Signo tip.
3. Fit the 5 mm Hyper Jell section, two Signo grip blocks, the 3 mm Hyper Jell section, and a full Signo grip over the stack. Place the Dr. Grip metal ring inside the Signo grip.
4. Clear the Frixion cap by removing its inner plastic piece and rubber nub, then sand down its side fin.
5. Place the old G1 tip and backplug inside the cap, followed by the RSVP grip, two Anyball blocks, and about 4 mm of the flat Supergrip section.
6. Add 4.5 blocks of black Anyball grip to the cap, followed by 3.5 blocks of colored Anyball grip. Add an insert to the G3 barrel and connect the cap.
