Light G3

The Light G3 is a Pilot G3-based pen mod by Light. Its construction combines a Jimnie cap, a Pen’zGear cap, and a Signo-tipped end assembly.

Construction

Parts needed

• 1 Pilot G3 (barrel)
• 2 Uni-ball Signo tips
• 1 Pentel KT/CT small cap
• 1 Zebra Jimnie (cap and grip)
• 1 Pen’zGear (cap)
• 1 Bic Round Stic (barrel section)
• 1 Pilot Supergrip grip
• Suitable grip material
• 1 insert

Text tutorial

1. Place one Signo tip into the KT/CT cap.
2. Trim the Jimnie cap clip and fit the KT/CT cap and tip inside it; add a 7–8 mm section of Jimnie grip.
3. Clear the G3 front and trim it to approximately 1 cm. Sand until the Pen’zGear cap fits snugly.
4. Fit suitable grip material at the G3 front, then place the Pen’zGear cap over it.
5. Cut a 2.5 cm Bic Round Stic barrel section and fit it over the Pen’zGear cap; use tape if the fit is loose.
6. Place the full Supergrip grip over the Bic section, flat side outward, and seat the second Signo tip in the grip.
7. Tape the rear of the G3, add an insert, and attach the prepared cap assembly.
