J-Vic DC

J-Vic DC is a double-sided mod by Whizz, measuring 20 cm and weighing about 16 g. Its two SuperTips sections are joined by a short Bic Round Stic connector.

Construction

Parts needed

• 2 Crayola SuperTips pens (barrel sections)
• 1 Bic Round Stic pen (connector)
• 2 Zebra Telescopic tips
• 1 Pilot Dr. Grip grip
• 2 grips for cutting (such as Signo DX)
• 2 additional tips for the heavier option (G-3, Signo or Hi-Tec-C)

Text tutorial

1. For each side, cut a SuperTips barrel from its back to 9.4 cm.
2. Cut the grip material to the pattern you prefer. Cut the Dr. Grip grip into two 1.7 cm sections and cut sections from two additional grips, such as Signo DX.
3. Add the grip sections and one Zebra Telescopic tip to each prepared barrel end. For the heavier version, add two G-3, Signo or Hi-Tec-C tips to the tip stack.

4. To use the optional cap connector, cut 0.7 cm from a SuperTips cap and fit it over a 2.3 cm Bic Round Stic barrel section.

5. Join the two SuperTips halves with the Bic connector and check the balance.
