The Ian Jenson mod is a double-sided mod made by Ian Jenson.
Construction
Parts needed
Parts list from the video below:
- 2x Zebra Airfit BA-9 (tips)
- 2x Pentel Color Twin (2 big caps, 2 barrels, 1 back plug)
- 1x Sailor IC Liquid Gel (grip)
- 1x Pilot Dr. Grip (grip)
Text tutorial
Preparation
- Empty both Color Twin or Art Color barrels and keep one backplug.
- Cut a 7.4 cm section from each barrel, excluding the narrow tip section from the measurement.
- Cut both large caps to 3.7 cm.
- Cut the Dr. Grip grip in half. Cut two three-ring Sailor grip sections.
Assembly
- Join the barrel sections with the retained backplug. Add tape if needed for a secure joint.
- Fit a cut cap onto each outer end of the joined barrels.
- Fit a three-ring Sailor section onto one cap, followed by half of the Dr. Grip grip. Insert an Airfit tip into the exposed end of the Dr. Grip section.
- Repeat the end assembly on the other cap.
