Factes-1 is a long double-sided mod by Tes built around two Factis BM2 barrels, with Color Twin sections and mechanical-pencil tips forming the ends.[1]
Construction
Parts needed
- 2x Factis BM2 (barrels)
- 1x Comssa (barrel section)
- 2x Pentel Color Twin (barrel sections)
- 2x Pilot Opt or Nextage mechanical pencil (tips)
- 1x Uni-ball Signo DX (grip)
- 2x Zebra Hyper Jell (grips)
- 2x Daiso (grips)
- 4x Pilot Super Grip (two full grips and ring sections)
- 2x Anyball (grips)
Text tutorial
- Disassemble the Factis pens and cut a 4 cm section from the Comssa barrel.
- Cut 1 cm from the Signo DX grip and fit it over the Comssa section.
- Cut 3 cm from the tip end of each Color Twin section and sand approximately 1 cm of its surface.
- Join each Color Twin section to the striped end of a Factis barrel, leaving about 2 cm visible.
- Slide a Hyper Jell grip onto each Color Twin section until it reaches the first Factis stripe.
- Fit a Super Grip over each Hyper Jell, ring end first; stretching or lubricating the grip can ease assembly.
- Insert an inverted Nextage or Opt tip into each grip stack, flush with the Hyper Jell.
- Trim the smooth end of each Super Grip so the cap assembly is 3.4 cm long. Cover it with a Daiso grip, leaving one Daiso block exposed.
- Add two Anyball blocks and four Super Grip rings to each Factis body. Repeat for the other end and assemble.[2]
