The Eyo AEI is a double-sided mod by Eyo, built from an Animal Erase It body and assembled with marker and ballpoint parts.[1][2]
Construction
Parts needed
- 1x Animal Erase It (body)
- 2x Uni-ball Signo (tips)
- 2x Tombow ABT (caps)
- 1x Edding 661 (barrel sections)
- 1x Bic Round Stic (barrel section)
- 1x ballpoint pen with removable caps (cap parts)
- Primark ballpoint grips
Text tutorial
- Cut approximately 1 cm from the top of each ABT cap; sand away any internal plastic nubs.
- Remove the caps from the ballpoint pen and trim or sand the clipped cap.
- Cut two 0.9 cm sections from the Edding 661 barrel and remove their printing.
- Assemble each weighted end in this order: Signo tip, ballpoint cap, then Edding section. Sand the cap if needed to make the fit.
- Fit each assembly inside an ABT cap and cover the cap structure with a Primark ballpoint grip.
- Screw the tipped part onto the AEI and carefully remove a 0.5 cm section from its threaded end. Insert a 2 cm section of Bic Round Stic barrel.
- Add tape around both ends of the AEI body and fit the end assemblies.[3]
Opaque-grip variant
The mod can also be built with opaque grips.
