Dark Mod Zero

The Dark Mod Zero is a personal mod made by spinner Orctupus YouTube. It features a soft-gripped body similar to the Papermate Flexgrip Ultra that has the ability to grip the hand but still slip efficiently. This balance leads to a unique spinning experience with spinners who want a bit more control compared to traditional plastic lacquers found on most pens and markers.

• 2x 9/32 - 5/16th Screw-in Target Point (Tip)
• 2x Pentel Energel Kuro (Body)
• 2x Pilot G2 (Grip)
• 2x TUL Ballpoint Retractable (Grip)
• 3x Dong-a Anyball (Grip)
• 1x Papermate Officemate (Barrel)

• Scissor End | Thin Metal Rod (To push the Energel Kuro Clicker housing out of the body)

Text tutorial

• Disassemble the Pentel Energel Kuro pens by unscrewing the tips (Set aside), removing the metal ring, ink-tube, breaking the clip, and popping out the back of the retractable clicker mechanism through the lower square hole leaving only the bodies.

• Measure and cut the Pentel Energel Kuro bodies 1cm from the back of the pen (clicker mechanism side) using a utility knife or pipe-cutter. Once both body's are cut, set aside.

• Disassemble the Papermate Officemate removing the front plug and ink-tube leaving only the barrel.

• Measure and cut the Papermate Officemate barrel 3.2cm from the front of the pen (Set aside).
• Disassemble the TUL Ballpoint Retractable pens removing the front tip, metal ring, ink-tube, and set aside the Grips.
• Disassemble the Pilot G2 pens removing only the grips and set aside

• Cut 2x 8-Sections of Grip from two of the Dong-a Anyball grips. Set aside.

• Cut 2x 4-Sections of Grip from one of the Dong-a Anyball grip. Set aside

• Stretch the Pilot G2 Grips using a pliers. Set aside.

• Wrap 2x the 9/32 - 5/16th Screw-in Target Point tips with Painters Tape or Paper Tape around the base until they can be placed snug into the Pentel Energel Kuro front barrel (threaded side).

• Place the Pentel Energel Kuro tips loosely over the 9/32 - 5/16th Screw-in Target Point tips and then push the TUL Ballpoint Retractable grip over both the tips and onto the barrel. (there will be a slight bump on the inner 1/3rd of the TUL grip.)

• Stretch the Pilot G2 Grip up and over the TUL Ballpoint Retractable Grip with the G2 rings facing outwards till the Pentel Energel Kuro tip is only seen about 2-3mm and there is 2-3mm of the TUL grip showing on the other side.

• Place the 2x 8-Sections of Dong-a Anyball grips on the other side of each Pentel Energel Kuro barrel. You want to have a flat section facing inwards vs the smooth thinner end on the inside. Slide it up against the Pilot G2 Grip.

• Place the 2x 4-Sections of Dong-a Anyball grips on the ring side of the Pilot G2 grip on each side.

• Use the Papermate Officemate 3.2cm cut body section to join the Pentel Energel Kuro Barrels and then put both sides together press-fit over the officemate section.
