Cafca G3 (new ver.)

Cafca G3 (new ver.) is a later version of Cafca G3. It uses a G3 front with a Maica cap assembly and a layered Hyper Jell grip and cap assembly at the rear.

Construction

Parts needed

• 1 Pilot G3 (barrel and grip)
• 1 Pilot Hi-Tec-C Maica (tip and cap)
• 1 Platinum Gel Roller grip
• 1 Pilot Dr. Grip HDG-50R metal ring
• 3 Pentel Hybrid Fine/Hybrid Gel Grip tips
• 1 Hyper Jell, Jimknock or Jimnie grip
• 1 Pilot Hi-Tecpoint V5 or V7 cap
• An insert and tape

Text tutorial

1. Disassemble the G3 and sand down its front.
2. File down or cut off the bump on the side of the Maica cap.
3. Cut two blocks from the G3 grip and put them on the Dr. Grip metal ring.
4. Put the Platinum Gel Roller grip on the front of the Maica cap.
5. Put the Hi-Tec-C tip on the gem-shaped part of the Maica cap. Place the Dr. Grip ring, with the two G3 grip blocks fitted to it, over the Maica cap; the Platinum Gel Roller grip holds the ring in place.
6. Wrap an insert around the front of the G3 barrel and put the Maica cap onto the G3 front. Add tape if the cap does not hold.
7. Remove the metal clip from the Hi-Tecpoint cap.
8. Cut the Hyper Jell, Jimknock or Jimnie grip to 2.75 cm, measuring from its rounded front end.
9. Stack all three HGG/HGF tips and insert them inverted into the front of the longer Hyper Jell grip section.
10. Cut a 4 mm section from Hyper Jell grip and insert it through the cut end into the longer grip section.
11. Put the long grip section into the Hi-Tecpoint cap with its tip end going in first.
12. Tape the rear of the G3 and attach the prepared cap.
