Text tutorial
Front assembly
- Cut the Signo Broad cap to 4.5 cm.
- Disassemble the Grip Matic and cut its barrel as illustrated. Do not cut the lead tube.
- Cut two Grip Matic grip stripes for each of the two pieces. Fit the stripes over the Grip Matic tip and barrel, joining the parts with an insert as shown.
- Cut 3.5 cm from the back of the Grip Matic lead tube. This completes the front assembly.
Body and retractable mechanism
- Disassemble one G2. Wrap it with two or three layers of clear tape, or one or two layers of electrical tape. Cut or file 4 mm from both ends and insert the assembly.
- Remove the plastic tip from the Baoke cap (or ColorTwin substitute). Disassemble the second G2 and place its spring inside that plastic tip.
- Remove the Airfit ink tube and cut 2.5 cm from its back. Wrap tape around the tube 3.2 cm from the front to stop the spring.
- Widen the Baoke/ColorTwin plastic tip so the Airfit tube can pass through freely. Assemble the retractable mechanism and wrap it with three or four layers of tape.
Cap and finish
- Disassemble the G3 and keep its tip and cap. Use one section of Grip Matic grip to hold the G3 tip inside the cap.
- Put the G3 cap assembly onto the retractable mechanism and add a G2 grip.
- Decorate with electrical tape.
