The Breaker

The Breaker is a retractable double-ended mod by Guitrum, with an adjustable length of 11–21 cm and a weight of 15 g. RPD translated Guitrum’s tutorial into Spanish.

Construction

Parts needed

• 2 Pilot G2 pens (parts from both bodies and refills)
• 2 Pilot Impact RT tips
• 1 Sharpie Pen body and cap
• Rubber bands and Teflon tape

Text tutorial

1. Remove the G2 grips. Scribble out the ink from the two G2 refill tips.
2. Break the clip from the Sharpie cap and tape it to the Sharpie back plug. Put this cap/back-plug assembly into the Sharpie body.
3. Remove the printed text from the Sharpie body.
4. Cut a 3.5 cm section from the Sharpie body and two 3 cm sections from the G2 bodies. Join and sand the three body pieces to fit.
5. Sand about 0.25 cm from the top of each large G2 body section and cut opposing V-shaped notches.
6. On each G2 refill-tip assembly, sand off the thin rear section and remove a small amount from the front. Place one prepared refill tip and a rubber band in a V-shaped notch, then screw on an Impact RT tip.
7. Use a spare refill to guide the rubber band through the Sharpie middle section. Route it through the second large G2 body section the same way; screw the body sections together while keeping the rubber band outside the body.
8. Trim the second G2 refill tip the same way, fit it onto the rubber band, and screw on the second Impact RT tip.
9. Wrap Teflon tape around the lower shoulder on both sides and add the grips.
