Technica Vx

Technica Vx is a double-ended mod by Save, with a heavy version weighing 21 g and a light version weighing 12 g.

Construction

Parts needed

• 2 Technica X mechanical pencils (front/body sections)
• Grip material (such as HGG)
• 1 Pilot G2 ink tube, cut into one 3.9 cm section

Text tutorial

1. Cut each Technica X body above the X marking and file the cut edge. Remove the ink tubes and unscrew the front tips; empty the bodies and set the parts aside.
2. Cut one 3.9 cm section from the single G2 ink tube and set it aside.
3. Empty each Technica X ink tube. Cut the thinner inner tube to 6 mm.
4. For the heavy version, insert one Technica X ink tube into each body section from the back. Press the single G2 tube section into the tube assembly, then fit the other body section over it.
5. For the light version, press the same G2 tube section into the body sections without first inserting the Technica X ink tubes, then join the body sections.

The exact fit of the tube pieces and the grip positions are unclear in the original instructions.
