T-Loid

T-Loid is a double-capped mechanical-pencil mod by Meves, measuring about 19.5 cm and weighing about 17 g.

Construction

Parts needed

• 1 Mindwave mechanical pencil body
• 2 Color Twin or KT caps
• 2 Pilot Opt or Nextage ballpoint tips
• 2 Pilot Super Grip grips
• D1-K or Anyball grip sections

Text tutorial

1. Remove the refill, tip and clip from the Mindwave pencil barrel.
2. Hollow both Color Twin caps.
3. Cut the striped portion from each Super Grip grip. Put the smooth portion over each cap and the striped portion inside it.
4. Put one Opt or Nextage tip inverted into the Super Grip grip in each cap.
5. Cut two four-block sections of D1-K or Anyball grip, preferably from the back of the grips, and place one section on each cap for symmetry.
6. Fit one prepared cap to each end of the Mindwave barrel.

The pencil is tentatively identified as a Mindwave model. A barrel about 1 cm in diameter can be substituted, although a KT barrel makes the mod too short. If Opt ballpoint tips are unavailable, use tips weighing about 2 g. The caps can stretch during assembly.
