Sherry G3 (light ver.)

Sherry G3 (light version) is a lighter variant of the Sherry G3. It measures 19.7 cm and weighs about 13.5 g, depending on the grip configuration.

Construction

Parts needed

• 1 plastic Pilot G3 barrel (without its tip)
• At least 2 Uni-ball Signo DX grips
• 1 Pilot G1 tip
• 1 Pilot Multi Ball cap
• 1 Ohto Metallic Gel tip
• 1 Platinum Gel Roller tip
• Zebra Hyper Jell grip
• 1 Uni-ball Signo tip (used in assembly but omitted from the original parts list)

The front tip stack uses a Signo tip rather than the G3 tip. The original parts list omits this Signo tip, although the assembly instructions require it.

Tutorial

1. Clear and sand the front of the G3 barrel. Fit about 2cm of Signo DX grip over the front.
2. Fit two overlapping one-block Signo grip pieces into the front. Stack the Gel Roller tip, Metallic Gel tip and Signo tip in that order, fit the stack into the front, and cover it with a full Signo DX grip.

   

   

3. Clear the Multi Ball cap by removing its clip and rubber stopper. Put the G1 tip inside the cap, then add 2.7cm of Hyper Jell grip and two 3mm Signo grip segments.

   

4. Add two stacked one-block Signo grip pieces inside the cap. Tape the rear of the G3 barrel and connect the cap.
