The Rec.ModRod is a double-sided ModRod-barrel mod by LNT_Phat, measuring 21 cm and weighing about 15 g.[1]
Construction
Parts needed
- 1x Pilot SuperGrip 0.7 ballpoint (clicker system and ink tube)
- 2x Pilot Dr. Grip grips
- 1x Uni-ball Signo tip
- 1x Sailor, Gel Wave, or Beifa grip
- 1x ModRod barrel
- 3x Airfit rings
- 1x spare ink tube (for example from a SuperGrip mechanical pencil or Dr. Grip shaker) [1]
Text Tutorial
- Remove the clicker system from the SuperGrip.
- Cut the Dr. Grip pieces to match the photographs below.
- Cut the Sailor/Gel Wave/Beifa grip into sections of three, two, two, and one stripe.
- Fit the Signo tip into the ModRod barrel and position the Dr. Grip pieces around it. Add an insert.
- Measure and cut the spare ink tube to the desired finished mod length.
- Fit the rear grip assembly and clicker system at the back, as shown below. [1]
