The Plastylo is a double-sided mod by Littleboy, made from a Bic Whiteboard Velleda marker barrel and Stabilo Power caps. It measures 21.5 cm and weighs 15–16 g.[1]
Construction
Parts needed
- 1x Bic Whiteboard Velleda marker (barrel)
- 2x Stabilo Power markers (caps)
- 2x thin nails
- 2x Pilot G2 grips
- Plasticine or similar putty for weighting [1]
Text Tutorial
- Cut the front end of the Velleda barrel to leave a smooth tube.
- Remove both Stabilo caps and press putty into each cap.
- Center one nail in the putty in each cap and bury it fully. The putty also fills and decorates the cap.
- Press each end of the barrel about 0.5–1 cm into a cap; use a small paper shim if needed for a snug fit. Remove the caps again.
- Split each G2 grip into its ridged and smooth sections. Fit the smooth section over the cap top, with the small center band aligned as illustrated, and seat the ridged section near the barrel.
- Fit the weighted caps onto both ends of the barrel. [1]
