Mesi G3 V4 (light ver.)

The Mesi G3 V4 (light ver.) is a lighter build of Mesi G3 V4. Its creator is unknown, and whether it is an original variant or a replica is unconfirmed.

Construction

Parts needed

• 1 plastic-version Pilot G3 (barrel and tip)
• 1 Pilot Frixion Colors cap
• 1 Zebra Hyper Jell grip
• 1 Pilot Supergrip grip
• 1 Uni-ball Lakubo grip
• 1 Pentel HGG grip
• 1 Ohto Metallic Gel tip
• 1 Pilot Hi-Tec-C or Uni-ball Signo tip (Hi-Tec-C gives a more balanced build)
• 1 Dong-a Anyball grip
• 1 Pilot BPS-GP tip

Text tutorial

1. Disassemble the G3 and clear the front by removing the grip and sanding the small squares and front.
2. Cut four Supergrip grip blocks and place them on the G3 front. Stack the G3 tip, Metallic Gel tip, and Hi-Tec-C or Signo tip. Cut about 1 cm of HGG grip to hold the upper tips together; cover the stack with the Lakubo grip.
3. Clear the Frixion cap by removing its inner plastic piece and rubber nub, then cut off the side fin.
4. Place the BPS-GP tip, a full Hyper Jell grip, and two Supergrip blocks inside the cap. Add Anyball grip sections to adjust balance.
5. Add an insert to the G3 barrel, tape the rear for fit, and connect the cap.
