Mesi G3 V4

The Mesi G3 V4 is a variation of Mesi G3 adapted by Mesi from a G3 design received from Ponkotu. Mesi modified it because he found the original difficult to spin.

Construction

Parts needed

• 1 plastic-version Pilot G3 (barrel and tip)
• 1 Uni-ball Lakubo grip
• 1 Pilot G1 tip
• 2 Uni-ball Signo DX (tips and grip)
• 1 Pilot Frixion Colors cap
• 1 Zebra Hyper Jell grip
• 1 Dong-a Anyball grip
• 1 small piece of Pentel HGG grip
• 1 leftover grip ring

Text tutorial

1. Prepare the G3 barrel by sanding its front and small squares. Stack the G3 plastic tip, G1 tip, and Signo tip.
2. Place a small HGG grip piece over the tip stack. Cut the Signo DX grip to the second dot, then fit it and the Lakubo grip over the stack.

3. Remove the Frixion cap clip, rubber nub, and inner plastic piece.
4. Inside the cap, place a Signo tip, a Hyper Jell grip, and a suitable grip spacer, possibly a D1-K grip section.

5. Add Anyball grip sections to adjust cap balance. Add an insert to the G3 barrel, tape the rear if needed for fit, and attach the cap.
