Joey Mod

The Joey Mod, also called the Signo NX MMTX, is a single-sided mod by Joey, measuring 20 cm and weighing 15 g.

Construction

Parts needed

• 2 Uni-ball Signo DX pens (2 bodies, 2 tips and 2 grips)
• 1 Pilot G-2 pen (body)
• 1 Pilot Latte cap (a G-3 cap can be substituted)

Text tutorial

1. File the clip on the Pilot Latte cap, or use a G-3 cap instead.
2. File the front of one Signo DX body until the G-2 body section and an insert fit inside it.
3. Cut a 4 cm piece from the back part of the G-2 body and file the cut edge.
4. Unscrew the other Signo DX tip. Cut the body at the end of its undergrip section, then file about 1 cm as shown in the illustrated tutorial.
5. Assemble the prepared cap and body components in the order shown in Joey’s cap and body videos. Use the photograph below as a guide to the final arrangement.
