Invisible Mod

The Invisible Mod is a clear double-sided mod created by Near. It measures 19.4 cm. Dr. Grip tips can be added for a heavier build.

Construction

Parts needed

• 2 Pilot G-1 pens (one body and two caps)
• 2 Gel Wave pens (caps)
• Thin grip material and tape
• (Optional) 2 Pilot Dr. Grip tips for a heavier build

Text tutorial

1. Keep one G-1 body and two G-1 caps from two pens. Remove the internal plastic from each G-1 cap, break off and file its clip, and file down the small bump on the cap.
2. For the heavier version, place a Dr. Grip tip in each prepared G-1 cap. Omit the tips for a lighter build.
3. Remove the clips from both Gel Wave caps. Cut each cap to exactly 4.2 cm and file the cut edge until it fits firmly over a G-1 backcap.
4. Empty the G-1 barrel by removing its writing tip and backplug.
5. Cut a 4 mm section of thin grip, or use adhesive tape, on each G-1 cap. Place each G-1 cap inside a Gel Wave cap.
6. Fit the two composite caps onto the G-1 body.
