Hybrid Geraser Mod

Hybrid Geraser Mod is a mod by Taeko, measuring 20 cm and weighing 16 g. It uses an insert and is moderately difficult to build.

Construction

Parts needed

• 1 HGG barrel
• 1 Superpirat barrel
• 1 Uni-ball Signo tip
• 1 RSVP cap
• Supergrip Clear or Dr.Grip grip
• 1 or 2 Sailor, Beifa, Gel Wave, or similar grips
• 1 Pilot G2 grip

Text tutorial

1. Cut off and discard the thin 4 mm Superpirat section at the nib end. Then cut 5 cm from the white body as shown below alongside the adjacent 5 mm section.

   

2. Screw the Signo tip onto the blue section.
3. Remove the printing from the body and add a 3.5 cm outsert, leaving 1 cm clear at the end opposite the tip. Arrange the grips in this order: 3 Sailor rings, 7 mm of Supergrip/Dr.Grip, 3 Sailor rings, 8 mm of Supergrip/Dr.Grip, 3 Sailor rings, then 4 mm of Supergrip.

   

4. Cut 4 G2 rings and a 0.9 cm smooth G2 section. Fit the rings inside the smooth section as shown.

   

5. Remove the HGG backplug and add an insert. File or cut the four small grooves on the protruding rear plastic, then press the top section prepared earlier onto it.
6. Remove the tip and grip from the front of the HGG body and cut it at the location shown.

   

7. Put the grips on the RSVP cap in this order: 0.8 cm smooth G2, one Sailor ring, and a full smooth G2 section. File the cap clip if desired.
8. Push the RSVP cap onto the front of the HGG body.
