HS Mx / LSH Mx

HS Mx / LSH Mx is a mod by Mr.MSC, also spelled LHS Mx. It measures 18–20 cm and is heavier than an MX but lighter than an Impact MX. It is difficult to build.

Construction

Parts needed

• 1 Sunburst pen (all parts; the tutorial also calls its body and cap RSVP)
• 1 metal G3 (cap and tip)
• 1 HGG (grip and tip)
• 2 Anyball grips
• 1 G3 tip or Signo tip

Text tutorial

1. File the front of the RSVP/Sunburst body and add tape to the front.
2. Cut off the first section of the RSVP grip and slide it over the front. Cut the first section from the HGG grip and slide it on as well; save another HGG section for later.
3. Cut and fit the remaining RSVP and HGG grip sections as shown in the photograph.
4. Cut an Anyball grip into sections of 3, 6, and 2 stripes. Place the two-stripe section over the joint between the RSVP and HGG grips.
5. Test the front stack with the HGG tip and then the G3 tip. The G3 tip lip should line up with the HGG grip; adjust the HGG grip if needed. Slide an Anyball section over the G3 tip.
6. Measure the gap between the Anyball sections and cut the G3 cap to that length. File or sand it as needed. Add tape or an insert over the HGG grip if desired.
7. Secure the HGG and G3 tips with Teflon tape, hot glue, or superglue. Slide the Anyball section back over the assembly.
8. Screw on the RSVP backplug and add an insert.
9. Remove or file down the RSVP cap clip. Put the remaining RSVP and HGG grip pieces inside the cap.
10. Add six stripes from an Anyball grip over the RSVP cap, then put a shorter section from the second Anyball grip over it. The cap assembly can be varied.
