Grizzly

From Fen Spinner Wiki

Grizzly is a mod by Nos635, measuring 20 cm and weighing about the same as a Waterfall mod. It uses inserts and is difficult to build.[1]

Construction

Parts needed

  • 1 Pilot Super Gel cap
  • 1 Pilot G1 tip
  • 1 Pentel HGG (barrel, back cap, ink tube, and grip)
  • 1 Paper Mate Flexgrip Elite tip
  • 1 Reynolds 081/090 cap
  • 2 or 3 Anyball, SGM, or Profile grips (20 stripes total)
  • Tape and inserts
  • 1 Flexgrip Elite ink tube (used to remove the HGG back cap while fitting the body insert)[2]

Text tutorial

  1. Cut the clip from the Super Gel cap and file the cap round. Remove the small bump beneath the clip, then fit the G1 tip into the bottom of the cap.
  2. Put 7 Anyball stripes on the cap, pushed up to cover the G1 tip. Add a G2 grip ring if desired.
  3. Remove the cap, tip, and grip from the HGG, leaving its ink tube and back cap in place. Wrap about 30 cm of tape at the base of the HGG undergrip and add 5 Anyball stripes above it.
  4. For the body insert, remove the HGG ink tube and push a Flexgrip ink tube through the front to remove the back cap. Fit the insert, then replace the ink tube and back cap.
  5. Push the Reynolds cap onto the Flexgrip Elite tip. Optionally add 3 Anyball stripes above the cap base.
  6. Add the HGG grip, followed by 5 Anyball stripes.
  7. Fit the modified Reynolds cap on the rear of the HGG body; add ordinary tape if it is loose.
  8. Make a cap insert about 2.2 cm long and 2.8 cm wide, positioned just after the end of the tape. Cover the tape with colored tape if desired.
  9. Fit the Super Gel cap on the front of the HGG body, seating it over the Anyball stripes.
