The G3-Matic is a heavy pen mod by Guitrum. It measures 19.8 cm and uses an insert.[1]
Construction
Parts needed
- 1 G3 (all parts)
- 1 Grip Matic (grip and tip)
- 1 Signo tip
- 1 ColorTwin small cap
- 1 G2 grip (two grips can be used for an alternative layout)
- 2 Anyball, SGM, or Profile grips
- An insert, Teflon tape, electrical tape, and glue are used during assembly.[2]
Text tutorial
- Gather the listed parts. Cut the two Profile grips and G2 grip as shown below.
- Remove the clip and internal rubber stopper from the G3 cap, then sand away the clip bump. Push the Grip Matic tip into the cap.
- Wrap an insert around the Grip Matic grip and push the grip into the cap until it reaches the tip. Fit the two cut Profile sections over the cap, with the two-ring piece first and the piece with three rings next.
- On the G3 body, remove only the first two rings of its grip.

File the bump between the screw and grip.
Sand the protruding nub while keeping the threads, and open the G3 backplug enough for the ink-tube tip to pass through. - Put an insert in the body and attach the hollowed backplug. Glue the ColorTwin small cap to the filed front of the G3 body, keeping it straight.
- Seat the Signo tip in the ColorTwin cap.

Wrap Teflon tape around the Signo tip and screw on the G3 tip; add tape around the cylindrical part of the G3 tip until it is flush with the small cap. - Arrange the front grips as shown: the small G2 section, the middle Profile section, then the large G2 section. An alternative layout uses two G2 grips.
- Wrap enough electrical tape around the rear of the G3 body to hold the completed cap, then press the cap into place.
