Dongza’s Mod

Dongza’s Mod is a pen mod by Dongza, built around a Dong-A body with a two-cap assembly.

Construction

Parts needed

• 2 Dong-A pens (one body and two caps)
• 1 Signo (tip)
• 1 Doraemon pen (tip)
• 1 Pilot G-3 (cap)
• 1 Hybrid Gel Grip pen (grip)
• 1 Artline Softline 1700 (grip)
• Electrical tape

Text tutorial

1. Empty the Dong-A body. The original instructions specify a cut “from the front 10.1 cm”; whether this is the length to retain or remove is unclear.
2. Fit the Artline Softline 1700 grip over the front of one Dong-A cap and put the Doraemon tip inside the grip.
3. Cut the clip off the G-3 cap. Fit the Signo cap inside the G-3 cap and put a piece of Hybrid Gel Grip grip inside the Signo cap.
4. Wrap tape around the rear of the Dong-A body and fit the assembled cap at that end.
