Ivan Mod

The Ivan Mod is a personal mod made by Ivan. It is sometimes wrongly called the Buster CYL v2, due to how it was popularized.

The mod was popularized by Supawit when he used it in the Pen Spinning World Tournament 2011. This came as a surprise as viewers originally thought he used a Buster.

It was commonly built due to the widespread availability of SuperTips but the limited availability of Comssa parts outside of Korea.

The original ivan actually used Pilot Dr. Grip grips and Zebra Hyperjell grips instead of Airfit and Anyball. The original tutorial can be found here

Construction

Parts needed

• 2x SuperTips (2 barrels)
• 2x Airfit (tips and one grip), can be subbed for 2x Dr. Grip Shaker (tips and one grip)
• 1x Anyball (grip; optional)

Text tutorial

1. Empty both SuperTip markers by removing the backplug and marker's ink.
2. Cut one of the barrels from each side to 4cm.
3. Plug both of the 4cm parts to the other uncut in order to get 1 individually long barrel.
4. Cut Airfit grip in half
5. Cut two double sections of Anyball grip and put on each side of the barrel.
6. Put both of the cut Airfit grips on each side of the barrel.
7. Insert tips on Airfit grips for both sides; done.
