VGG Emboss

The VGG Emboss is a double-sided mod made by VicGotGame. The construction below documents Cloud’s replica; it does not establish VicGotGame’s original construction.

Construction

• x2 Tsukineko Emboss (1 body, 2 big cap, 2 small cap, and 1 backplug)
• x2 Pilot Dr. Grip (Grip)
• x2 Zebra Airfit BA-9 (tips)
• x2 Dong-A Computer Sign Pen (body)
• x1 Sailor IC Liquid Gel (grip)
• x1 Beifa (black grip)

This tutorial describes Cloud's VGG Emboss replica. Cloud explicitly states that VicGotGame did not approve the reconstruction and that it may differ from the original.

1. Cut two 4-section Beifa grip pieces, two 2-ring Sailor pieces, and two 2 cm Dr. Grip sections.
   

   

   
   
2. Remove the Emboss ink and nibs, clean the barrel, and replace its backplug.
3. Cut each small Emboss cap to retain 1 cm from the end that fits over the backplug. Smooth the cuts.
   

   

   
   
4. Cut two 1.5 cm sections from the rear of the Comssa barrels.
   

   

   
   
5. Fit a Sailor section over each end of the Emboss barrel. Fit the uncut end of a Comssa section over that end, then use the barrel end to push the section fully into a large Emboss cap until the cap meets the Sailor grip.
6. Fit a Dr. Grip section to each large cap, followed by a Beifa section, then insert an Airfit tip at the outer end.
   

   

   
   
7. Use hot glue at the joint shown in Cloud's tutorial to connect the Comssa section, small Emboss cap, and inside of the large cap.
   

   

   
   
8. Repeat the end assembly and attach both ends to the barrel.
