STA Gear

The STA Gear is a double sided mod made by JEB spinner, Menowa*. He used it in his JapEn 15th and 2020 combo. The version he used in JapEn 15th is slightly different as it has an outsert.

Construction

• x1 STA Aquarelle (barrel)
• x2 Pentel Fitline (Frontplugs)
• x2 Pen'Z Gear (2 Caps, 2 Metalring)
• x2 Nitom Stalogy (Backplugs (long type))
• x2 Pilot Dr. Grip (Metal ring)
• x2 Pilot SuperGrip (Grips)
• x2 Dong-A Anyball (Grips)
• x4 Black o-rings
• x4 White o-rings

Additional Items

• (Facultative) An insert

Text tutorial

Preparation

1. Cut the Pentel Fitline front plug to 9mm (removing the flat part before the thread)
2. Cut 2x 7 blocks of Dong-A Anyball grip.

Assembly

1. Connect the Pentel Fitline front plug with a Pen'Z Gear cap (with 1 metal ring on).
2. Put the Pilot Dr. Grip metal ring on the Nitom Stalogy backplug, put it inside the Pen'Z Gear cap.
3. Put the whole Pilot SuperGrip grip on the cap structure (flat side first).
4. Overgrip the stripped side with 7 blocks of Dong-A Anyball grips
5. Fill the gap with o-rings in this order: Black > White >[Fitline part] > White > Black
6. Repeat
7. (Facultative) If your STA Aquarelle barrel is transparant, add an insert.
8. Connect the "caps" structure inside the STA Aquarelle barrel.
