The Pen Spinning Olympics 2026, also known as PSO26, was the fourth Pen Spinning Olympics. It was organized by the Pen Spinning Board of Directors.

Categories

These categories represent the themes in which participants were judged, with each category acting as its own tournament. Participants could enter one or more themes, which all followed the same schedule.

Power: Power tricks and sequences, with emphasis on difficulty and creative usage of them.
Multipen: Creative usage of multiple pens, including 2p1h, 2p2h, three or more pens, and use of other body parts or the environment.
Infinity: Tricks performed on the pen tips, such as infinities and wipers, with emphasis on visual effect, combo construction, and creative use of wipers and their variants.
Technical: Technical 1p1h spinning, with emphasis on difficulty, execution, and creativity.
Classic: Execution, aesthetics, and combo structure, without considering technical difficulty and originality.
Performance: Pen spinning performed for viewers, such as street or stage performance, with emphasis on entertainment for non-spinners.
Freeform: Unusual elements such as dancing, magic, cups, string, and three-way mods, with emphasis on originality and creativity.
Spinless: Tricks and linkages that make the pen appear still or not to be spinning, with emphasis on originality and creativity.

Structure of the matchups

Each theme consisted of two rounds. The top four competitors in Round 1 advanced to the final round, and the number one competitor in Round 2 became the champion of that theme. Most submissions had to be between 10 and 25 seconds from the first trick to the last trick; Performance submissions could be between 10 and 90 seconds for the full video. Videos had to begin before the first trick and end after the last trick, without splicing or intentionally removing frames. Hands and pen movement had to remain visible, with adequate brightness, resolution, framerate, camera stability, and zoom. Filters, color grading, and other visual edits that made evaluation difficult were not permitted.

Rankings were assigned without individual ties. Overall placement was determined by the sum of the judges' rankings, with lower totals being better. If totals were tied, tied competitors were compared only against each other by the number of better rankings received from the judges; unresolved three-way-or-more ties could be decided by discussion among the judges. Time violations incurred a deduction of two full points for every second over or under the limit, rounded up, and late submissions incurred a deduction of one full point for every hour past the deadline. Technical or sportsmanship issues could also result in deductions, while severe violations could result in disqualification.

Participants

The approved participant field contained 106 spinners across the eight themes.

The judging panel consisted of twelve judges. Each theme had either one or three judges.
