The Pilot Dr. Grip is a line of mechanical pencils and pens made by Pilot. In modding, it is popular for its soft, clear silicone grip and heavy metal tips.
The variation most commonly referred to in modding is the Dr. Grip Shaker HDG-50R mechanical pencil, but many other variations can substitute for it.
Variations
Dr. Grip Shaker HDG-50R
The most popular for pen modding, with a 5cm long and fairly thick silicone grip, and a distinctive 4.5g metal tip. Since it was discontinued most of the replacement grips and tips for it have been substitutes from various sources, which are sold from Pen Spinning Stores separate from the pen.
Often referred to simply as the Dr. Grip Shaker
Dr. Grip G-Spec
A common variation with a long, cloudy grip similar to the original. Comes in both ballpoint and as a mechanical pencil, but the tips are not a substitute for the Shaker tips.
The Dr. Grip COG is essentially the same as the G-Spec
