HAL KT is a Dr. KT mod variation made by JEB spinner HAL. It is one of the most popular KT versions to the extent that purple CT caps are associated with this mod. It was used by HAL and Menowa* in their win of the Pen Spinning World Cup 2014.
It was included in JackyMacky's Beauty and a Beat parody, highlighting the spinning effect of the purple caps.[1]
Construction
Parts needed
- 2x Pentel ColorTwin (2 caps, 1 backplug, color:scw108)
- 1x Miffy&Melanie (barrel)
- 2x Pilot Dr. Grip (2 grips and 2 tips)
Text tutorial
- Cut the two Dr Grip grips in half and keep the part of the grip without the lip.
- Empty out the Miffy&Melanie barrel.
- Put the ColorTwin backplug into the back of the Miffy&Melanie barrel.
- Put the tips and grips onto the ColorTwin caps such that the grips cover over most of the tips.
- Put the caps on the barrel; done.
