The Spindy's Tournament 2024 was an online pen spinning tournament hosted through Spindy's. Registration was handled by tilt, and the event ran from October 5 to December 14, 2024. Barney competing under the name Sullyoon1 won Side A, while Zayan🌙 won Side B.[1]
History
The rulebook initially stated that registration would close on September 14, 2024 at 23:59 PDT. The final schedule on the tournament website listed an extended registration deadline of September 21. A total of 88 participants were listed for Round 1.[1]
The tournament was divided into an upper-level Side A and a lower-level Side B after the opening round. Although the announced format called for 16 participants on each side, Avera and thor tied at the Side B cutoff with an aggregate score of 6.60, resulting in 17 participants advancing to Side B.[2]

Scoring System
Each judge scored every combo out of 42 points across five categories:[2]
Difficulty — 10 points
Originality — 10 points
Execution — 10 points
Structure — 10 points
Presentation — 2 points
The three judges' totals were combined using the geometric mean in order to reduce the effect of differences in judging style.[1]
Tournament Structure
Round 1 was a battle royal in which all participants competed in one pool. The top 16 advanced to Side A, while the next 16 were intended to advance to Side B. Because of the tie at the cutoff, 17 participants advanced to Side B.
Round 2 was another battle royal, held separately for Side A and Side B. The top four scored participants from each side advanced. Round 3 consisted of two one-on-one semifinals on each side, followed by a one-on-one final for each side in Round 4.[1]
The published schedule allowed two weeks for participants to create their combos and one week for judging between rounds. Prefilming was permitted.
Prizes
Tes contributed $50 and Joule contributed $40, adding $90 to the prize pool.[1]
The Side A winner received $80, one month of Spindy's Elite, and a unique level 4 role in the Spindy's Discord server.
The best combo award for a participant other than the winner carried $50 and a unique level 4 role.
The Side B winner received a unique level 3 role in the Spindy's Discord server.
The 33 participants advancing to Side A or Side B are marked in bold. Aggregate scores are the geometric mean of the three judges' totals.[2]
