The Lakubo mod is a mod invented by Hong Kong–based spinner Eddie.
The mod was popularized by the easy availability of the parts, being a single cap mod that is neither RSVP- nor G3-based. This mod is called "Lakubo SG" in Japan.
Construction

- 1x Uni-Ball Lakubo (Everything)
- 1 Pilot Supergel / Neogel(cap)
Additional items
- 1 insert (Optional)
- Clear tape
Text tutorial[2]
- Remove the backplug of the Lakubo pen, take out the ink tube, and drill a hole in the backplug.
- Place the nib of the inktube in the hole of the backplug (screw back the backplug now if you don't have an insert).
- (Optional) Roll an insert and put it inside the Lakubo, screw back the backplug on the body.
- Add tape on the backplug.
- Remove the SuperGel/NeoGel cap clip, then fit the cap onto the taped backplug.
