The Lakubo mod is a mod invented by Hong Kong–based spinner Eddie.

The mod was popularized by the easy availability of the parts, being a single cap mod that is neither RSVP- nor G3-based. This mod is called "Lakubo SG" in Japan.

Text tutorial

  1. Remove the backplug of the Lakubo pen, take out the inktube and poke a hole into it.
  2. Put the nib of the inktube in the hole of the backplug (screw back the backplug now if you don't have an insert).
  3. (Optional) Roll an insert and put it inside the Lakubo, screw back the backplug on the body.
  4. Add tape on the backplug.
  5. Remove the Pilot Supergel / Neogel cap and put it on the backplug.
