KAtts Acrylic Bullet Mod

The kAtts Acrylic Bullet mod is a double-sided mod made by kAtts which he used in his Pen Spinning World Tournament 2019 participation.

Contrary to what its name implies, the mod does not use an acrylic tube for the barrel. It uses a polycarbonate tube.

• x1 Polycarbonate tube (13 mm OD, 11 mm ID)
• x2 Pilot Dr. Grip (grip)
• x1 Pilot AirBlanc (grip)
• x2 Nato bullet 7.62×51 mm
• x~6 Dong-A Anyball (Grip) (2 colored ones)
• x1 Zebra Hyper Jell (Grip)

Preparation

1. Cut your Dr. Grip grips into two ~1.5 cm-long sections.
2. Cut two 8-block pieces of Anyball grip, six 1-block pieces (including two colored ones), four 3-block pieces, and four 2-block pieces (including two colored ones).
3. Cut a 13 mm outer-diameter, 11 mm inner-diameter acrylic tube to 20 cm.
4. Cut your AirBlanc grip to two 1 cm sections.
5. Cut your Hyper Jell to ~9–10 mm.

Assembly

1. Place the grips in this order: one stripe of Anyball grip, then a colored one, then ~1.5 cm of Dr. Grip grip then one block of Anyball on the acrylic tube, leave some space to prepare the rest of the gripping.
   

   

   
   
2. Put on the acrylic tube 8-block of Anyball grip and fold it on itself from the exterior side.
   

   

   
   
3. Put 1 cm of AirBlanc grip inside the acrylic tube and insert the NATO bullet tip backwards into it, the AirBlanc grip should block it. ~10 mm of it should remain visible.
   

   

   
   
4. Put ~10 mm of Hyper Jell grip, then overgrip it with 3 blocks of Anyball grip.
   

   

   
   
5. Unfold the 8 blocks of Anyball grip over the tip part, and adjust.
   

   

   
   
6. Overgrip the 8 blocks of Anyball grip in this order: 2 blocks of Anyball, 2 blocks of Anyball (colored) then 3 blocks of Anyball.
   

   

   
   
7. (Optional) Add an insert.
8. Repeat on the other side.
