The build process isn't difficult but can be made easier with a pipe cutter. Sanding is always recommended, especially for the caps and middle barrel segment which will affect weight and length respectively. The hardest part of making the mod is cutting the silicone tube grips as close to 3cm as possible, however, having a great length of silicone tubing will give you more than enough tries. Depending on wear, the tips may begin to come loose over time, but this can be fixed with new silicone tube grips, or increasing the length of the Tru Red grip segment.

# File the inside of the 3.62cm sub-body piece from the tip side to increase the inner diameter and make it flush (see [https://youtu.be/Vl1JAtD8r8A?t=1520 25:20]). It should be perfectly smooth on the inside.

The grip should be touching the end of the sub-body, not the base of the tip (see [https://youtu.be/Vl1JAtD8r8A?t=1581 26:21]). It is placed there to make the silhouette of the mod more flat and smooth. This is the "cap" of the pen.
# Cut 3.00cm of 9mm ID x 12mm OD silicone tube and place it over the "cap". There can be a small 1mm overhang from the silicon tube.
# Of course, make sure steps 7 - here are done twice for both sides of the mod.
# Connect bodies from the backplug side to the middle connector. Plug caps into the tip side of the bodies. White Stick V2 is complete.

The White Stick V2 is the second iteration of an aptly named mod made by ProBloodBag. The mod was made with a focus on minimalism in appearance and structure. Aside from the Tru Red Gripped Ballpoint Stick Pen, all parts are relatively obtainable internationally, and the mod can be made for ~$10 USD at scale with most of the cost being attributed to the Pilot Opt Shaker.

Cutting the silicone tubes has consistency issues due to curvature caused by the manufacturing process. Depending on wear, the tips may begin to come loose over time, but this can be fixed with new silicone tube grips, or increasing the length of the Tru Red grip segment.

  1. Cut 2 x 5mm Tru Red Ballpoint Stick Pen grip.
  2. Remove clip from Tru Red Ballpoint Stick Pen cap. The cap will be the connector.
  3. Disassemble the 3 Acrylic Paint Markers (remove ink and backplug).
  4. Cut 1.50cm from the back of one Acrylic Paint Marker for the center piece.
  5. Put the 1.50 Acrylic Paint Marker piece on the Tru Red Ballpoint Stick Pen cap and add some masking tape to both ends (Tape is folded over the ends if too long).
  6. Cut off the front from the other 2 Acrylic Paint Markers for the bodies.
  7. Remove the weird stuff from the inside of the barrel from the cut side (see 15:17). Scrape it out with pliers, knife, or round file until it is flush like a normal barrel.
  8. Disassemble your Pilot Opt/Nextage mechanical pencil.
  9. Take the sub-body (the part under the shell (coloured part)) and cut off the thinner part (part that is under the grip). Then cut 3.62cm from that end to remove the clicker and have a 3.62cm piece.
  10. File the inside of the 3.62cm sub-body piece from the tip side to increase the inner diameter and make it flush (see 25:20). It should be perfectly smooth on the inside.
  11. Place the 5mm Tru Red Ballpoint Stick Pen grip on your Pilot Opt/Nextage tip. Place it inverted into the tip side of the 3.62 sub-body piece. The grip should be touching the end of the sub-body, not the base of the tip (see 26:21). It is placed there to make the silhouette of the mod more flat and smooth. This is the "cap" of the pen.
  12. Cut 3.00cm of 9mm ID x 12mm OD silicone tube and place it over the "cap". There can be a small 1mm overhang from the silicon tube.
  13. Of course, make sure steps 7 - here are done twice for both sides of the mod.
  14. Connect bodies from the backplug side to the middle connector. Plug caps into the tip side of the bodies. White Stick V2 is complete.
