Dopamine’s Needle Point Mod

The Dopamine’s Needle Point Mod is a pen mod used by Dopamine and documented by Ponkotu in 2008. It uses an OHTO Needle-Point as its body, with Hybrid Fine and AnyBall grips at the front and nested Play Color 2 and Sunburst Gel Roller caps at the back.

Construction

Parts needed

• 1 OHTO Needle-Point (body and original tip)
• 1 Hybrid Fine / Hybrid Gel Grip pen (grip)
• AnyBall grips
• 1 Play Color 2 (cap)
• 1 Sunburst Gel Roller (cap; a Sunburst Metallic Gel Roller cap is an alternative)

Text tutorial

1. Remove the Needle-Point grip and rear cap, leaving the original tip in place.
2. Fit the Hybrid Fine grip over the front end of the body, then cover it with AnyBall grip.

   

   Step 2.

   
   

3. Fit the clip-free cap from a Play Color 2 onto the rear of the body. Place a Sunburst Gel Roller cap with its clip removed over it, then add AnyBall grip to the outer cap.
4. Avoid pressing the two rear caps together too far, as they can become difficult to separate.
