The Dr. KT is a heavy mod created by RYO. It is notable for being one of the first heavy mods in a time where light mods were the norm.
Retrospectively it was considered a leap ahead in modding technology at the time, as it had vastly more momentum than prior mods.
Construction
Parts needed
- 2x Keityo Sign Pen (barrel + caps)
- 3x Sailor (grips in colors silver, red and blue)
- 2x Dr. Grip Shaker (tips)
Text tutorial
- Remove Keityo small cap and backplug, remove inktube, replace backplug and place second Keityo cap on the other side of the body.
- Cut silver Sailor grip into four sections of 2 rings each.
- Cut each colored Sailor into a section of 3 rings, 2 rings and 8 rings.
- Place grip sections onto the caps in this order: 3 color > 2 silver > 2 color > 2 silver > 8 color
- Push the Dr. Grip tips into the overhanging 8 segment grips.

Variations
Popular variations consist on changing the sailor grips with Dr. Grip grip and substituting Keityo caps with Pentel ColorTwin caps or ACT caps. Usually the barrel is also substituted with barrels such as CT, ACT, Miffy & Melanie and Crayola SuperTips.
